The Task Force on Women and Family-Friendly Policies (Task Force) was set up in 2014 to identify and address the needs of female colleagues and colleagues with family responsibilities. Through a survey conducted by the Task Force, colleagues felt that a support network would be much appreciated. Towards achieving this objective, the Faculties have established a mentoring scheme for all faculty members within the Faculties/Departments.
To supplement the faculty based mentorship program, the Task Force launched a Female Professorial Staff Support Network in 2016. The Network aims to promote professional and social interactions among female academic faculty and to assist female junior faculty in the pursuit of their goals through mentoring by the advisors.
Appropriate matching will be made based on the areas of interest provided by female faculty and the background of advisors.
